Is there such a thing as a window air conditioner for HORIZONTAL windows?
We bought an air conditioner that fits in the window today and when we went to mount it realized it is for the tall vertical windows. We have a window that slides horizontally.
Is there such a thing as a window air conditioner for HORIZONTAL windows? Or if not, is there a converter kit?

A vertical window is one that slides UP to open. My horizontal window slides side to side to open and close.
Turning an AC on its side will cause big time damage...(but thanks for trying to help).
Yes, there are AC units for sliding windows. You CAN'T use a unit for a double hung in a slider. Here are some options. You can also check local appliance stores near you. Hope this helps.
