Even with routine maintenance service, the time still may come when an air conditioner will need to be repaired. If the ants have caused damage to the mechanical parts of the unit, it will be necessary to call a professional. The technician can, however, make the necessary repairs, and apply a safe pesticide so that the problem will not re-occur.
