First off it's a pain in the backside...2 bloody knuckles after slipping off the housing and hitting a metal component was not fun, so my advice is to wear a pair of gloves just in case.
The air filter is located in the rear of the engine compartment, in the middle of the engine, and IN the huge plastic housing. To get the huge black plastic housing off all you need to do is swiftly lift up on each of the 4 corners. The reason for this is that it's connected by rubber press on fittings that are designed to be taken on and off. Disconnect the air intake hose, the rear air exit hose, and the MAF sensor connector. At that time the whole black plastic piece can be removed and the 10 phillips screws located on the underside have to be undone to get to the air filter element. hope this help, as I didn't see any posts on the internet on this subject. Maintenance instructions to replace 2000 Honda Odyssey cabin air conditioning filter?
Can anyone provide instructions or lead me to an internet site that describes how to replace a 2000 Honda Odyssey cabin air conditioning filter?
I can't thank all of you enough for your help. As you can see from the answer that I selected as the best, there are a few intricacies that would escape an amateur like me. The pictures were great!!!!
Most cars take in fresh air through vents or openings that are usually located under the hood at the rear of the compartment near where the windshield wipers are. It's the place where every leaf in the county gets stuck in the fall...can't miss it. There should be a cover over the filter that unscrews or snaps out to gain access the filter element. This information should be in your vehicle operators manual also. If you don't have the manual, go to the parts store and tell them what you need and they might be able to pull up a diagram. If all else fails, head to the Honda dealer service department, ask them to pull up the diagram and have them print it off for you. Good luck

AEM dry flow filter on stock Honda Civic intake system?
Will an aftermarket AEM dry flow filter, fit on a stock 1994 Honda Civic ex, air intake system. I would only be replacing the actual filter itself, so I just want to make sure it would fit. The size of the filter is 2.75" which is what I believe the same size as the stock Honda civic intake.
Will adding this filter give me any improvements in HP?
They do make after market air filters for stock systems. I doubt you will get any noticeable gains since you still have the stock air box. It's better than throwing air filters away every 10K or 15K miles.

2002 Honda Civic Cabin Air Filter Housing?
I've got a 2002 Honda Civic LX Sedan, and I pulled out both interior (cabin) air filters because they were dirty with the intention of replacing them. 3 years later, I'd like to toss in some replacements; however, there are supposed to be two black plastic housings which the air filters need to be positioned in when installed behind the glovebox. These black plastic housings have long since disappeared. Does anyone have any suggestion besides a boneyard or dealer to get my hands on a pair of replacements (either just the housings or a combo of housings and included new filters)?
Most of the aftermarket sellers only offer the filter inserts, not the little housings....ARGHHHH...

Unfortunately , I believe that these parts are specific to your car and will have to be obtained from a Honda dealer.
I just checked Majestic Hondas Website - the pieces you are looking for are $2.85 a piece - if you are talking about the little frame that the filter sits in.
